HOLLYFEST couldn’t run without the amazing support of our school community – and we’re on the lookout for volunteers to help us on the day. It’s a great way to get involved, meet new people, and be part of something really special. Just a few hours of your time can make a huge difference. Have a child performing on the day but not sure when? Don’t worry, sign up and we can move things around once the Performance schedule is announced.

We have lots of different roles, including:
🍔 Helping on the BBQ
🍻 Serving on the Bar
☕ Running the Tea & Cakes stall
🎉 Supervising the Inflatables or Kids’ Zone
🙋 Or just being an extra pair of hands wherever needed!

You don’t need experience – just a friendly face and a willingness to get stuck in. If you’d like to help, sign up through our events site.

🎶 What’s in Store?

We’ll be sharing sneak peeks of our music lineup, raffle prizes, stalls and more over the coming weeks – so keep an eye on your inbox and our social media for updates!

Let’s come together as a school and community to make HOLLYFEST 2025 a day to remember. Tell your friends, bring your family – and get ready for summer fun at Hollyfield!

Flynn Smashes the TCS London Marathon

Posted on 1 May 2025

We are absolutely thrilled to share that Flynn Orchard (Year 13) has completed the TCS London Marathon in an outstanding time of 3 hours, 1 minute and 11 seconds!

Flynn’s achievement is truly inspirational. From running every single day for the past year to committing to the incredible challenge of the marathon, his dedication, resilience, and determination have been nothing short of remarkable.

Flynn has been raising money for The Hollyfield School PTA, with funds going towards encouraging more students to stay active and supporting our P.E. department. Thanks to the amazing generosity of the Hollyfield community, Flynn has already smashed his original fundraising target with over 100 people donating a total of over £3,000 —but there’s still time to support him if you haven’t yet:

 👉 Sponsor Flynn Here

We couldn’t be prouder of Flynn and everything he has achieved—not just today, but throughout his journey leading up to this moment. He’s a true inspiration to all of us at Hollyfield!

Top 10 Hollyfest 2024 tips & tricks

Posted on 23 May 2024

Thinking of coming to Hollyfest 2024? Great decision! For those of you who have not been to prior Hollyfests, here are our top 10 tips and tricks…

  1. When you turn up make sure you have your booking name and order number to hand. Note there’s no need to print / bring the QR code on the ticket you’ve been emailed.
  2. Get involved! We can’t make Hollyfest happen without your support. We have lots of things that need doing so please sign up to a volunteering slot or two before, during or after the event (or all three!) and encourage any friends to get involved too!
  3. Buy raffle tickets in advance. Beat the queues on the day and we’ll provide your tickets when you arrive. We have some amazing prizes this year, and we’ll share more details soon.
  4. Bring a picnic blanket or camping chair, settle in and prepare to be blown away by the amazing talent in the school!
  5. Don’t worry about food and drink. We’ll have an international food stall, BBQ, bar, tea/coffee & sweets stall so just bring your wallet or purse.
  6. Speaking of which we’ll be going virtually cash free this year. Cash can still be exchanged at the token stalls and all the stalls will accept card or tokens.
  7. Prepare to have some fun! Alongside the incredible acts on the stage we’ll have inflatables*, zorb*, a kids zone and games for everyone to enjoy.
  8. Bring a water bottle! We’ll have some water on sale but there are water stations around the school where you can fill your bottles up.
  9. Did I mention we need volunteers? We need help the day before to set up as well as the day after to make sure the school is tidied up for Monday! Sign up to give us a hand here.
  10. Finally at the end of the evening we’ll have a fantastic fireworks display so make sure you stick around to enjoy the fabulous finale!

And remember, all profits raised at Hollyfest go back into the school to benefit our students via the PTA.

Finally, thank you to everyone that signed up for an estate agent advertising board for which we received a donation from Seymours.

* Here is some information on age limits for the inflatables & zorb activities.

Basketball – no limits

Cork shoot – 6+ normally, parents can assist in holding the guns

Bootcamp – 6+ due the difficulty of the activities inside

Rodeo – no age limit. If the person can get on the rodeo by themselves, they can ride, if they need assistance, they will not be able to ride

Zorb (Bubble football) – 5+

Bungee – no limit as long as belts fit securely

Please note that with any of the activities there might be a chance of getting harmed and the equipment is used at your own risk.
