You may have seen Marcus Rashford’s campaign in the press to extend the Free School Meals scheme to cover holidays and the government’s pledge to give funds to local authorities to spend on initiatives for their areas. Unfortunately, this doesn’t cover all circumstances and hunger is affecting more and more Hollyfield students and their families.
We are therefore holding a ‘food drive’ to collect non-perishable food items in order to make up parcels to help these families. Take a look at the list below and consider buying 1 or 2 extra items in your next shop and donating them. There will be a collection bin inside the Albury main door for your donations. Please send your donations in with your child rather than coming on site yourself to keep within Covid safe guidelines.
Monetary donations can be made at ptahollyfield@gmail.com, get in touch and we will let you know what to do. All money donated will go towards buying food for the food parcels or food/supermarket vouchers.
